Baylor Freshman Quarterback Did Well Under Pressure
posted October 6, 2008

I am impressed with the poise of the very young man who found himself serving as starting quarterback for the Baylor/McCallie game this past Friday evening. I can't imagine what it must have been like to handle that much public pressure as a high school freshman.

I hope that the score will not be all he remembers about his experience. His effort and sportsmanship
should be considered lasting contributions.

I have no connection whatsoever to Baylor but I am a parent of a teen. I hope the family and friends of this ninth-grader will help him realize that he should be proud of his efforts. Some things are more important than what appears on the scoreboard. Good job stepping in under pressure.
