Georgia Leigh Mince, 78, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, October 6, 2008 in a local health care facility. She was born February 22, 1930 in Epes, Al.
Mrs. Mince was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and Dr. Styles’ Sunday School Class. She had been employed with CVS Pharmacy for 20 years as a shift supervisor and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan.
Her husband, Geoffrey R. Mince Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Myra M. Bowen of Chattanooga; Katherine Perez and her husband, Manuel J. Perez of Longview, Wa.; Teresa M. Delaney of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Tamara Ross of Vancouver, Wa.; Elizabeth Lerch of Chattanooga; Carrie Jo Cook of Portland, Or.; Jeffrey R. Bowen of Buffalo, N.Y.; great-granddaughter, Danielle Higgins of Vancouver, Wa.; sisters, Ola Styes of Alpharetta, Ga.; Settie Allen of Knoxville, Al.; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Memorial Park with Rev. Bruce Howland officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 519 East 4th Street, Chattanooga, Tn. 37403.
Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn.
