McMinn County, Ooltewah Post Soccer Wins

McMinn County defeated McMinn Central 4-1 Tuesday, scoring three first half goals.

Taylor Van Wagner, Kara Grooms and Alex Perdue each had a goal in the first half.

McMinn Central's Ashley Johnson also had a first half goal.

C.J Lowry had the second half goal with about 15 minutes left in the game.

Sarah Dillon had three assists and Kara Grooms had one.

Jane Underdown had seven saves and Nikki Hayes has two saves.

McMinn County improves their overall record to 6-5-2.

Ooltewah defeated Walker Valley 3-1 after leading 2-1 at the half.

Kaytlin Water scored the first goal for Ooltewah assisted by Sydney Reason.
Walker Valley tied the game with a goal by Brianna Prugh assisted by Lauren Frazier.

Ooltewah's Jessica Crum scored the go ahead goal and Hannah Squired finished off the scoring in the second half with a goal assisted by Reason.

Ooltewah out shot Walker Valley 12-4.

MacKenzie Bailey and Kelsey Herman each had a save for Ooltewah.

Katie Carr had six saves for McMinn Central.

Ooltewah plays at Hixson on Thursday.
