Lee University Homecoming 2008 is steadily approaching, and while the school anxiously awaits the return of hundreds of alumni, it is also preparing its grounds for the dozens of festivities and reunions that will be taking place homecoming weekend.
The classes of '58, '68, '78, '88 and '98 will be highlighted during the Nov. 7-8 weekend. The following anniversaries will also be spotlighted: 45th anniversary of Lee Singers, 20th anniversary of Epsilon Lambda Phi, the 45th anniversary of Alpha Gamma Chi, and the 10th anniversary of the Student Leadership Council. Special reunions will be held for the 1999 Cambridge trip and the Flames and Lady Flames soccer organizations
Evangelistic Singers will also be celebrating their 40th anniversary by holding an anniversary concert Sunday, Nov. 9, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and will also perform during the Saturday evening Music Festival.
The Lady Flames Volley for a Cure will be raising money for breast cancer awareness over the weekend, and runners can participate in the annual Homecoming 5k on Saturday where runners will weave through historic downtown Cleveland.
The Music Department will also be hosting an evening of vocal and instrumental performances showcasing Lee's rich tradition and history of musical talent.
Other activities offered over the weekend will include: the Flames and Lady Flames homecoming basketball games, a drama production and campus tours.
