Foster Parent For Over 40 Years

Lola F. Payne, 88, of Collegedale, died on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, in a local health care center.
A longtime resident of Chattanooga and Collegedale, Mrs. Payne was a member of Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was a foster parent for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald G. Payne.
Survivors are her daughters, Christine Payne, Carol Bodnar; sons, Charles Payne, all of Collegedale, and Gerald E. Payne, Carthage, Tn.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Collegedale Cemetery with Pastor Ernest Clark officiating.

There will be no visitation on Saturday.
Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
