Donald Marion Gonce, 70, died on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at his home.
The son of the late Marion Albert Gonce, he was a lifelong farmer, a member of the Farmers Co-op, a former member of the Square Dance Club, a former Jaycee, and a communicant of Christ Episcopal Church.
Donald loved to hunt, fish, ride horses, and hunt for arrowheads and other relics.
He is survived by his mother, Bertha Gonce, of South Pittsburg; two daughters, Donna (Thomas R.) Lawson, of Bridgeport, Al., and Deena (Jere) Brown, of South Pittsburg; one son, Mike (Jackie) Gonce, of South Pittsburg; two sisters, Barbara (Jerry) Clepper, of South Pittsburg and Carolyn (Wayne) LeRoy, of Nashville; three grandchildren, Thomas Kyle Lawson, Tiffany Brown and Jake Brown; and a good friend, Mike Russell.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. CDT on Friday at Christ Episcopal Church in South Pittsburg, with the Rev. Stephen Eichler officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
