Carolyn Cox, 84, of Memphis, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at her residence.
Mrs. Cox was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, and was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Van Cox.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Hicks of Memphis; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. David and Lindy Cox of Chatsworth, Ga.; grandsons, Jason Cox, Rock Spring, Ga., and Shea Hicks of Memphis.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Forest Hill Funeral Home in Memphis with Rev. Paul Schierer and Rev. David Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
