The Walker County Chamber of Commerce announce that Congressman Nathan Deal will be the speaker at the Chamber's October membership meeting at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Walker County Civic Center.
Mr. Deal is the U.S. Representative to Congress serving the people of Georgia's Ninth District. He was first elected to Congress in 1992 and today serves the citizens of 15 North Georgia counties.
Rep. Deal is a member of the prestigious Committee on Energy and Commerce. As a member of this committee, he serves as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Health where he oversees legislation, hearings and markups for all legislative areas over many critical issues affecting America's public and private health sectors, including the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The cost to attend is $12 for Chamber members and $22 for non-members. The public is invited to attend, but reservations are necessary. Please contact the Chamber at 706 375-7702 to make reservations.
