Taylor, Emma Schroth posted October 9, 2008
Emma was born in Chattanooga and a graduate of Central High School. She was employed with Atlas and Top Flight for over 50 years. Emma was a former member of Woodland Park Baptist Church, attended Temple Baptist, Calvary Baptist and was currently a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church. She served as a volunteer for many years at Parkridge Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Taylor; her parents, Louis and Hattie Schroth. Emma is survived by her four children, Barbara (Jr.) Gaddis, James (Yvonne) Taylor, Larry Taylor, and Diane Taylor; seven grandchildren, Steve, Darrell, David, Jimmy, Amy (Bobby), Stacey and Christopher; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Vickie Parton. One of her favorite quotes was "I Love you best, forever, and always." Funeral services for Emma will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the East Chapel with Pastor Steve Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
