Why Can't We Have Dunlap's Gas Prices? - And Response (3)
posted October 9, 2008

Filled my tank yesterday at the cheapest station I could find. Paid $3.67 cents a gallon, later that day, the same place had "No Gas".

Happened to be in Dunlap today, was surprised to see gas for $3.52. Thought that was pretty good. Down the street it was $3.42, and then $3.35. No shortage.

Doesn't the gas over there get hauled in from Chattanooga? If not, from where?

Could it be that something not nice is being done to us?

Thursday night, Oct. 9, I filled up for $3.25 a gallon about 20 miles south of Montgomery, Al. Today, I see $3.15 in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. Usually, gas here is 15 to 20 cents higher than in Chattanooga.

What gives?

Gas wars are going on here in Hattiesburg, Ms. I was in line 10 minutes yesterday and got gas for $2.67, and Kash King next door was $2.65.

Why can't this happen in Chattanooga?

I was in Knoxville on Saturday and filled my tank for $3.299/gallon (national chain). This price was
common for all stations along I40/75/640.

I saw one station on the west end at $3.199/gallon, yet Chattanooga stations are still gouging us.
