Alma I. Upchurch, 72, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008.
She will be dearly missed by her family. Ms. Upchurch was of the Baptist faith. She retired as a Hamilton County School bus driver.
Her husband, James Willard Upchurch Sr., preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, James W. Upchurch Jr.; daughters, Judy Young, Debbie Bates; brothers, Donald P. Newby and Bobby M. Newby; sister, Shirley Hutcheson; granddaughter, Tara Young; and a grandson, Harold Dean Bates Jr.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. on Friday.
