Veazey, Matthew Alexander
CSAS Graduate Was Student At Chattanooga State

Matthew Alexander Veazey, 21, of Signal Mountain, died at a local hospital on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008.

He attended CSAS, the Center for Creative Arts and graduated from Peninsula High School in Knoxville in 2004. Matt was a student at Chattanooga State and had many friends and classmates who will miss him greatly. He was kindhearted, a loyal friend and a precious son, brother, nephew and cousin.

Matt was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond Jones; maternal grandmother, Frances Walters; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Kathryn Veazey.

Survivors include his parents, Kelley and Bill Veazey, of Signal Mountain; brother, David (Lena) Veazey, of Knoxville; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his great-aunt, Leona Ellington.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Sandra Winter officiating. Interment will be private.
