Miller Brought Back To Hamilton County: Due In Court Tuesday posted October 10, 2008 A man charged in the shooting death of a 15-year-old Central High School student and wounding of another teen has been brought back to Hamilton County. James Bryan Miller, who is charged with criminal homicide, is due to appear in General Sessions Court on Tuesday morning. He had been apprehended in Whitfield County, Ga., after the shooting incident last Friday night on Pattentown Road in Summit. Authorities said the victims had barged into the trailer home, which is described as "a known drug house in Summit." They were wearing masks and were armed with a long-barreled-type weapon. Once they were inside, Miller started firing. Victim Isaac Robinson was shot multiple times. Michael Shadden was shot in the back. Officials in the sheriff's department said Miller was charged after he fled the scene without notifying police or summoning help for the victims. There were several others inside the trailer, authorities said. Miller has had several prior arrests and in August of last year was sentenced to serve six months of an 11-month and 29-day term for theft. |
