Tennessee Has New Pink Ribbon License Plates
posted October 10, 2008

County Clerk Bill Knowles reported that the Hamilton County Clerk’s office has received the new “Driving to a Cure (Pink Ribbon)” license plate for motorists who pre-ordered.

He stated that pre-applicants may pick up their tag at the Bonny Oaks Branch office. Those who prefer to obtain their plate at the Courthouse may phone 209-6525.

Motorists who pre-ordered will owe an additional $24. Those transferring a valid plate must surrender their current plate at that time. If the current plate has expired, a state emission test is required.

The state is manufacturing additional plates that will be available within a few weeks for anyone who did not preorder. The total cost for the special tag is $59.
