The Bryan College Lady Lions cruised to an easy 3-0 (25-11, 25-9, 25-11) victory over the University of Virginia - Wise Friday in Dayton.
Amber Smith, Robin Renfroe, and Alison Young combined for 19 kills in leading the Lions. The team hit .328, while Ashley Sours had a team-high 6 aces to spear-head the Lions’ season best 16 service aces.
“We were very focused on not making the same mistakes we did last year when we played them before our fall break,” commented head coach Leo Sayles.
“The team did a very good job paying attention to detail and doing the little things well. I know our defense frustrated the Cavs, with our solid blocking and digs.”
The Lions, now 11-1 in conference (17-3 overall), host Bluefield College Saturday at 1 p.m.
