He was the son of the late Claude and Ella Hasty and was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Hasty. He was the owner of Richard L. Hasty Construction Company.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nova Harkins Hasty of Rocky Face; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Gary Ballew of Rocky Face; granddaughters, Alexa Ballew and Alana Ballew both of Rocky Face; brothers and sister-in-law, Donald and Jerrie Hasty, Kelly Hasty, and Randall Hasty all of Rocky Face; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Currington officiating. Burial will be in Dunagan Cemetery with a white dove release to conclude the service. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.
