Man Shot On Sheridan Street After Argument With Girlfriend posted October 11, 2008 A man was shot Saturday morning on Sheridan Street after he argued with his girlfriend. Police responded to the early morning shooting at 1004 Sheridan. Police found that Lester Thomas had been shot twice by an unknown gunman. According to Thomas’ girlfriend, Arneta Mosley, the two were in the street arguing. When the argument turned physical, on-lookers yelled at Thomas to leave her alone. Ms. Mosley said Thomas pulled her jacket over her head as she tried to get away. That is when she heard gunshots and took off running toward her mother’s house. She said she did not realize Thomas had been shot until she got to her mother’s house. There were no other witnesses on scene, police said. Thomas was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
