He was a born in Henagar, Al., was a resident of Chattanooga and longtime owner of Riverview Exxon. He was a member of the Shriners, Scottish Rite and Masons.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachael Durham Crabtree; father, Delious Reuben Crabtree; wife, Vera Lee Crabtree; brothers, Doyle Crabtree and Willard Crabtree; sister, Doris Chambers.
Survivors include his son, D. Michael Crabtree, daughter-in-law, Theresa H. Crabtree; grandsons, Alex H. Crabtree and Max L. Crabtree; sister, Christeen Ellis of Henagar, Al.; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, and on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the North Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McCallie School.
