Day Thi Phan, 95, of Hixson, died on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at a local hospital surrounded by family and friends.
She migrated to the United States in 1990 from her native Vietnam. Generous, hard working, and kind, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Day was preceded in death by her husband, Dong Pham; two daughters, Hiep Pham, He Pham; and two sons, Luc Pham and Sang pham.
She is survived by five daughters, Anh Greuter, Cuc Pham and Hong Pham of Hixson, Mimi Lambert of Brandon, Fl., Christina Ly Pham of San Jose, Ca.; two sons, Rang Pham of San Jose, Ca., and Tam Pham of Vietnam; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, and Tuesday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, located at 5401 Hwy. 153, Hixson. The Venerable Thong Ly of Atlanta will have a special prayer.
