Chuck “C.C.” Holbrook died on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008.
He was born in War, W.Va., on April 29, 1929, son of the late Rosa May Woods and Frank Holbrook. A resident of Rock Spring, Mr. Holbrook was a West Virginia Mountaineer, general contractor and retired from the management team of Wal-Mart in Bentonville, Ar.
He also built many luxury condominiums and clubhouses in Florida, where he resided for 25 years.
Survivors are his devoted and loving wife of 41 years, Kay Holbrook; daughter, Dawn Hernandez, Houston, Texas; sisters, Joan Calder, New Ellington, S.C., Betty Hylton, Coldwood, W.V.; grandchildren, Larry John, Texas, Douglas Smith, Christina Smith, Maryland, Alice Ziegler, Bryce Speer, Crystyl Swanson, DeAndra Swanson, Nuffy Swanson, all of Conroe, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jacob John, Ava Taylor MacNulty, Garrett and Tyler Ziegler and Emily Grace Speer; sister and brother in Christ, John and Linda Swanson, Conroe.
Graveside services will be at noon on Monday at Rock Spring Cemetery.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at Woodstation Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
