Authorities Say Incident With Molotov Cocktails Was Gang Related

Chattanooga fire investigators have made another arrest in connection with a June 26 firebombing.
Two vehicles and a duplex at 1602 E. 17th Street were set ablaze with Molotov cocktails by individuals believed to be members of a local gang, fire officials said.
Sunday afternoon, Capt. Lesley Morgan with the Fire Investigation Division received an anonymous tip on the location of Tavoris Tucker, 20. A few minutes later, Chattanooga Police patrol officers picked up Tucker and transported him to the county jail for booking.
Capt. Morgan charged him with aggravated arson, setting fire to personal property and reckless endangerment.
No one was injured in the duplex fire. The loss was estimated at $15,000.
Capt. Morgan said a total of six people, including one juvenile, face charges in connection with that incident.
Latricia Finley was arrested during the law enforcement "saturation" operation on July 18. Jasmine Penn turned herself in, and charges are pending against the juvenile. Montez Menifee was arrested by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and is now facing federal charges. The juvenile is not in custody at this time.
Capt. Morgan said officers are still looking for Anthony "Man Man" Amey, 18, and they believe he may still be in the area. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Amey is encouraged to call Capt. Morgan at (423) 643-5632.
Lts. Henry McElvain and Anthony Moore with the Fire Investigation Division, along with agents with the ATF, are assisting with the investigation.
