Pastors Set To March To Early Voting Precinct To Cast Votes On Thursday

In an effort to increase the awareness of the importance of voting and to encourage members of their congregations to participate in early voting, area pastors from across Hamilton County have deemed Thursday as Pastors Voting Day.

Nearly 70 pastors will march from Greater Tucker Baptist Church to the Brainerd Recreational Center whereby they will meet with members of their churches to cast their early votes.

Through their efforts, the pastors hope to have more than 500 members of their congregations cast their votes at the early precinct located at the Brainerd Recreational Center on Oct. 16.

The march will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Greater Tucker Baptist Church, 1115 N. Moore Road.

Participants will include Pastor Kevin Adams of Olivet Baptist Church, Pastor Ternae Jordan of Mount Canaan Baptist Church, Pastor Paul McDaniel of Second Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor M.T. Billingsley of Greater Tucker Baptist Church, along with many other pastors and their members.
