The Whole Backstage Theatre in Guntersville will hold auditions for Lying in State on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. Callbacks will be held Sunday, Oct. 26, at 2p.m. should the need arise.
According to the headlines, a state senator, Ed, has died in a heroic gun battle defending his home from intruders. The local political leaders are frantically looking for someone to fill his senate seat while support is at an all time high. His ex-wife Edna Buttons a semi-exotic dancer, and Harry his whacked out brother are just a few of the "players" being considered. The truth comes out as everyone gathers for Ed's funeral, if he really is dead.
