CCS Graduates Earn 8 AP Scholar Awards
posted October 21, 2008

Eight recent graduates of Chattanooga Christian School (Class of 2008) have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP (Advanced Placement) Exams.

The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program provides motivated and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advancement placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams.

The recipients at the Scholar level are: Ryan DeWaters, Morgan Farquhar, Josh Gibson, Heather Lee, Cliff Mauroner, and Dana Streufert. Scholars with Distinction are Sean Forrest and Sarah Heintz, CCS’s Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2008.

Ninety eight percent of Chattanooga Christian School graduates pursue college degrees upon graduation while the remaining 2% often enter the mission field before entering college. CCS has a student body of 1,100 students in grades K-12, on 40+ acres (debt-free) in the Southside of Chattanooga.
