Signal Mountain Realtor Jean Smith Shares Her Secrets Of Success posted October 23, 2008
For Ms. Smith, her secret to success is the realization that selling real estate is basically doing your best to apply the “golden rule” to always treat people the way you would like to be treated. Having returned from the company’s annual meeting, Ms. Smith reflected on the discussion and doesn’t consider any of her success to be much of a secret. “I just love being an agent and I feel it is actually a ‘calling’ to find the right home for my customers,” said Ms. Smith. “Throughout the years I have made many lasting friendships and during the panel discussion at the conference I really tried to impress upon the audience that you have to love this business in order to succeed.” Ms. Smith’s career in real estate spans more than two decades. She is a licensed affiliate broker in Tennessee assisting buyers and sellers in and around Hamilton County and specializes in residential real estate sales. During her decade of service with Crye-Leike Ms. Smith has consistently been a Multi Million Dollar sales producer and is a charter member of the company’s Multi-Million Dollar Club in the Chattanooga Region. “I enjoy taking classes to learn more about my profession as I like to feel I know everything there is to know about the products and services available,” said Ms. Smith. “You have to know you are providing the best possible service to your real estate clients whether they are buying or selling and never pause to second guess yourself.” Crye-Leike recently inducted Ms. Smith into its Circle of Excellence. It is the company’s highest honor, recognizing sales associates for their service to the firm, community and profession. Ms. Smith is among just nine associates in the Greater Chattanooga Region who hold the honor and have been bestowed by Crye-Leike with the title of vice president. “What’s really gratifying is that most of my sales and listings involve referrals from past customers,” said Ms. Smith. “I do my very best to treat my customers the way I would like to be treated in the same circumstances. I feel very blessed to be in this profession because I truly love it.” Ms. Smith is a Graduate, Realtor Institute, member of the Chattanooga Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. With CAR she serves on the Governmental Affairs Committee. In 2005 Ms. Smith served as president of the Women’s Council of Realtors and that same year she was awarded Tennessee GRI Realtor of the Year. Ms. Smith and her husband Charlie live on Signal Mountain. They are members of the Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church and there she serves on the Worship Shepherd Committee. Ms. Smith is also active as a board member with the Bachman Community Center. |
