HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. Baylors Red Raiders went to the ground here Friday night in defeating Pope John Paul II in a Division II high school football game.
Baylor gained 349 yards on 58 carries with Sam Williams rushing for 219 on 29 carries and Brandon Pickett adding 96 yards on 13 carries.
Williams scored on a touchdown run of 4 yards and Pickett added touchdown runs of 28 and 8 yards.
Baylor quarterback Matt Oellerich added a touchdown run of 8 yards.
Jordan Evans scored Pope John Pauls only touchdown on a 12-yard run.
John Mackey had two sacks for Baylor while Pickett and Channing Gordon each had an interception.
