Southern Mountain Resorts announced the grand opening of its newest Cabin-Style resort located at The Preserve at Rising Fawn in Dade County, Ga.
Located on the Cumberland Plateau, the resort features five, pristine well-stocked lakes, 26 miles of cultured walking trails, a “world-class” equestrian center, club house and nine-holes of golf at the nearby Southern Trace Golf Course.
There is also a full-service business center on site. Scheduled for completion in early 2009 are a swimming pool, fitness center, lighted tennis courts, hot tubs, game room, and outdoor pergola with barbeque area.
“We designed this resort for families looking for unique vacation experiences,” owner Josh Dobson said. “We wanted to create the perfect blend of the unspoiled beauty of nature, the rustic charm of these classically designed cabins and the conveniences essential to modern living.”
The Preserve is situated within 300 miles of 12 million people at the intersection of the borders of Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia.

The Preserve at Rising Fawn is a gated mountain community in Rising Fawn, focused on building amenities and property value through construction of amenities including a world-class 53,000-square-foot equestrian center with over 60 stalls, indoor arena, and on-site horse trainer with clinics; extensive trails for walking, hiking, biking and horseback riding; professionally managed and stocked lakes; 9-hole golf course (off-site); and 400+ acres of preserved green space.
