Tonight at Rhythm & Brews, Chattanooga musicians gather for Noogapalooza, a celebration of all things great with local music. Artists include: The Dylan Kussman Band, Taxicab Racers, TJ and Dan of Up With the Joneses, John Myers of Black Diamond Heavies and Doug Bales of Uncle Lightin', Jettison Never, I Am Band, The Hey Kids, Sex Head Loosey, the New Binkley Brothers, Butch Ross and Amanda Cagle, Dana Rogers, Arlo Gilliam, Nathan Farrow, Noah Collins, Gabriel Zane, Ben Scoggins, Ernie Dempsey, Shawnessey Cargile, and Tommy Davis. This should be a fun time, and you can learn more at click here.

It’s over. The Halloween season has come and gone for another year. Personally, I think we should have a second one in April or May. We made the rounds Friday night, starting out at a great block party in North Chattanooga, then moving on to Murphy’s Ale House, T-Bones, and finally Buds. Actually, Halloween started early, since Here Come The Mummies were at Rhythm & Brews on Thursday night. I had an interview with them before their show for a national magazine and I can tell you this – it’s Halloween every day for these guys. What’s under the mummy suits? More rags and a bag of bones! You can visit my website (see top of page) and see pictures from their concert, as well as pictures from Friday night’s fun.

Our trip back to Murphy’s was great. No Big Deal was there and they are always fun. We got great service at Murphy’s and Pat said her fish sandwich was the best ever.

T-Bones is always fun on Halloween, and Friday was no exception. The band Jumbo Deluxe played and they were GREAT. This blues-based band is quickly becoming one of my favorites. They will be at Buds this month and at T-Bones again next month. Their website is at www.Myspace.com/jumbodeluxeband.
