For the second year, Why Know and the Chattanooga Market are partnering to bring Gingerbread Lane to the Scenic City on Nov. 30 from noon – 5 p.m. The event will feature gingerbread houses created by middle and high school students from across the Chattanooga area.

"This event is a great way to kick-off the Christmas season," said Kathryn DeNovo, director of communication and outreach. "There will be food, entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy."

All the houses featured in the Gingerbread Lane are made by middle and high school students spanning the greater Chattanooga area, and will be available for purchase. The public will also be able to vote for their favorite house to choose the "Best in Show."

In addition to the houses, there will be face-painting, an inflatable bounce house and photos with Santa, as well as gingerbread samples from McKee Bakery.

Admission to Gingerbread Lane is free but there will be minimal cost for activities. All proceeds from the event will benefit Why Know's youth outreach programs.

The Chattanooga Market is held at the First Tennessee Pavilion located on Carter Street. For more information about the event please contact Why Know at 899-9188.
