New City will celebrate 40 years of God's faithfulness with a joint service on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the East Lake Academy on Dodds at 34th Avenue.
The 8:30 and 11 a.m. services will join with the newly-formed East Lake Church to celebrate their beginnings in 1968 and once again in 2008.
Officials said, "We will come together to joyfully worship and hear the preaching from God's Word. We will also have an opportunity to give an offering to provide food for our community and church families as we have done since our beginning as the 3rd Street Sunday School. Plan now to invite your friends and join with us on Sunday as we celebrate 40 years of God's faithfulness!"
