He was an avid gardener and touched the lives of so many with his culinary masterpieces.
Chip was predeceased by his grandmothers, Lou Mercer, and Dorothy “Piggy” Lingerfelt; grandfather, Grover Lingerfelt.
He is survived by his wife, Shawna Mercer; stepchildren, Josh and Caleb Ramirez; mother, Kay Wilder; father, Michael and Judy Mercer, Valrico, Fl.; sisters, Anna Mercer, Kari McMillin, Courtney and Erik Pirozzi, Cartersville, Ga.
A memorial service will be at Paradise Arabians on Friday, from 2-5 p.m.
