Dr. Martinez received her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, in Gainesville, Florida. She completed her residency and fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine through the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Martinez also completed a fellowship in Critical Care and Asthma Research from the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Martinez is board certified in pulmonary medicine and critical care.
