The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum has several Christmas events planned.
Kids of all ages are invited to visit Santa at the railroad's Grand Junction Station on Saturdays, Nov. 22 - Dec. 20, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The station is located at 4119 Cromwell Road.
This year celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's North Pole Limited, a 75-minute train excursion to the North Pole, where Santa awaits. Dates for the North Pole Limited are Nov. 21-23, Nov. 28-30, Dec. 4-7 and Dec. 11-22. Trains leave from Grand Junction Station at 5:45 and 7:30 p.m. Reservations are required.
The museum is also offering its Christmas Dinner Special, a sumptuous four-course meal aboard a 1924 dining car that travels leisurely through northwest Georgia. Dates for the dinner are Dec. 6, 13 and 20. The train departs Grand Junction Station at 5:30 p.m. and returns at 10 p.m. Reservations are required.
