Chattanooga’s Live Music Scene: Dr. Vibe! by Bob Payne WWW.MYSPACE.COM/DAVRIK posted November 21, 2008
You can read all about Dr. Vibe, hear the Dr. Vibe song, and see their schedule at click here. We also caught the Stratoblasters over at Murphy’s Ale House and it too was a real treat. They will be at Buds on December 12, and I highly recommend this show to lovers of Blood, Sweat, and Tears, Chicago, The Boxtops and other songs from that era. In addition, we were able to get to a Chad Yates show, and a show by Bad Little Doggie. Look for reviews on these in the coming weeks. I will also be featuring a highlight article of BandX, who is scheduled to appear here in January. I will be attending a December event in Atlanta to interview them, and hopefully some of the musicians who will be performing with BandX that night, including Chuck Leavell from the Rolling Stones, Jeff Carlisi from .38 Special, and Wally Palmar from the Romantics. I also want to thank the Chattanooga Market for allowing me the privilege of being a judge in the Firehouse Chili Cook-off last Sunday at the Pavilion. All of the entrants were great and it was very difficult to pick one above another. Most importantly, over $7,500 was raised for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Plus, I got to play on a real fire truck and sit in the cab and push some buttons and turn on the lights. I rock! Live!
