Wooten, Clarence Charles posted November 20, 2008
Born on January 6, 1926 in Fort Payne, Al., to the late Henry Miles and Samantha Mildred Wooten, he was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, having served in World War II in the 308 Bomber Wing and was a retired paint retailer. Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by his sisters, Lillie Bryson, Launa Yerbey, Virdest Mullens and Zettie Ray Burton, and brothers, Gordon and Gathel Wooten. Survivors include his sister, Janice Lively, Flintstone, Ga.; several nieces, including Janet Wooten of Ft. Oglethorpe, and several nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Gilchrist officiating. Full military honors will be given by VVA Chapter #203.
