First Lego League Has Challenge Saturday
posted November 20, 2008

The sixth Chattanooga event for local First Lego League teams is set for Saturday. This year there will be 11 in the Chattanooga area and one in Cleveland, and one or two may drop in from other counties.

The local event has always been a field trip to a site related to the challenge theme. This has developed Chattanooga a formidable reputation in the research and presentation part of the state competition, officials said

The event will be at the Channel 3 Studio on Whitehall Road and will begin at 9 a.m.

The public is invited to attend as either a worker or a watcher. To be a worker, email with a preference of either climate experts (this year's theme is climate), judges (requires attention during the 150 second "robot game" rounds) and cat herder (there are about 90 people needed to be "herded") to echapin@mainte-net.com.

The Tennessee competition will be held in Cookeville Dec. 6.
