I just had the biggest laugh I've had in a long time. Dr. Scales now says there's never been a plan to close a bunch of schools. He says it in front of a packed house, with microphones on, cameras recording, and reporters taking notes. He says it after four days of David Carroll's eyewitness stories from Nashville, and after several of his own board members admitted it was true.
Somehow it took four days and a bunch of news stories and angry letters and phone calls for this to suddenly become "false." Maybe that's why this evaluation ratings were so low.
And, by the way, I can't understand why so many people are worked up about the meeting in Nashville. Heck, they were there anyway for a state convention, and taxpayers didn't pay for it.
If you want to get mad about something, get mad about the lies, and the fact that they're trying to close schools all over the county (including my neighborhood on 58) because of their own mismanagement- past and present.
