Virgil Morgan, 93, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, in a local nursing home.
He was of the Church of God faith and retired from General Motors.
Virgil was preceded in death by two wives, Artie and Ruth Morgan; children, Wilburn “Rudy” Morgan and Josephine Morgan along with five sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include sons, Hershell “Buddy” Morgan, Harley Gene Morgan and Lonnie Morgan; daughters, Brenda Francis and Laura Morgan; sister, Margie Smith; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is on Friday after 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
