Ooltewah Defeats East Ridge 62 – 48
posted November 21, 2008

Ooltewah traveled to East Ridge and claimed a 62-48 win in Thursday's Hall of Champions game.

Ooltewah was unable to score for the first three minutes of the game until Jerome Montgomery came up with a steal and basket that led to 18 first quarter points for the Owls. The Pioneers had 7.

Montgomery scored 10 of his team high 23 points in the opening quarter. Teammate Edward Stoutemire caught fire in the second quarter with two deep threes on his way to 19 total points for the game.

The Owls defense was creating havoc for the Pioneers and at halftime Ooltewah led 35–20.

East Ridge came out hot in the third behind Quayshaune Fountain's game high 25 points cutting the lead to 46–38.

The Owls found the spark they needed when Jason Jenkins caught the ball in the post and two handed slammed the Owls to the win. Jenkins finished with 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

The Owls play next at Cleveland.
