Milam, Walter Daniel "Buck" (Summerville)

Walter Daniel “Buck” Milam, 44, of Summerville, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at his residence.

Mr. Milam was born October 3, 1964 in Floyd County, Ga., the son of Vera Mae Atkins Milam Riendeau and the late Arthur Loyd Milam. He was employed with William D. Patty Construction Company.

Mr. Milam is survived by his wife, Christina Milam; son, Gable Loyd Milam, Summerville; mother and step-father, Vera Mae and Adolph Riendeau, Robertsdale, Ala.; brothers, Billy Wayne Milam, Summerville, Ronnie Earl Milam, Alaska, James Milam, Summerville; sisters, Dianne Myer, Armuchee, Ga., Freda Lay Cock, Smyrna Beach, Fla., Julia Comerland, Flomaton, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Free officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marty Middleton, Pete Ballenger, Ray Ballenger, Gary Battles, Jarvis Hudgins, Kenny Ray White, Rex Laney, and Apatchie Campbell.

Mr. Milam will lie in state at the Antioch Baptist Church and the family will receive friends from noon until the service hour.
