Man Says He Was Trying To Stop Robbery When He Was Shot posted November 21, 2008 Chattanooga Police are looking for a suspect in a shooting that occurred at 1115 Overlook Ave. on Thursday afternoon. Officers said 22-year-old Brian Peek showed up at Memorial Hospital just after 5 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He told police that he was at that address when an acquaintance attempted to rob one of his friends. When he stepped in to intervene, the suspect shot him. The victim was able to provide police with the suspect’s street name and police are currently trying to identify the suspect. The suspect is believed to be a juvenile. However, that information has not been confirmed. Charges in the case are pending further investigation. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. |
