She was a graduate of Kirkman Technical High School and Erlanger Nursing School.
She was employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 19 years and remainder years with Galen Medical Group.
She was a faithful member of Spring of Living Water Bible Baptist Church.
Anita was preceded in death by her father, Milton C. Edwards; grandparents, James and Lottie Edwards.
Survivors include her children, Brittaney, Raquel, Derek; adopted son-nephew, Brandon D. Davis; mother, Patricia Edwards Hudson; grandmother, Maggie M. Bailey; sisters, Charlotte Edwards King and Connie Edwards (Jeffrey) Gaines; brother, Fredrick Ramseur; nieces, Megan Davis and Chesney (C.J.) Smith; nephews, Jeffrey T. Gaines, Jr. and Trevion Davis; aunts, Mary C. Washington and Sherine Bryant; a host of uncles; great-aunts; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to Galen Medical Group and Hospice of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon in the chapel with Pastor Jesse Broadnax officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The body will lie in state on Monday after noon.
