The North Chattanooga Council of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the holiday season with performances by members of the Chattanooga Theatre Centre's casts of A Christmas Carol and Alice in Wonderland.
The performances will take place during the Council's Dec. 2 meeting, which begins at 11:45 a.m. at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre at 400 River Street.
Lunch, which costs $10, will be catered by Moss's Place.
A Christmas Carol will be presented on the Theatre Centre's MainStage Dec. 5-21. Alice in Wonderland is a Youth Theatre production, running Nov. 21 through Dec. 19.
Those who attend the meeting are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or other donation to benefit the Northside Neighborhood House, an agency promoting the independence of residents north of the river through education and assistance. Canned food items, toys and child- and adult-sized coats are needed.
"We welcome all Chamber members and non-members from businesses and the community to this meeting," said council President Jenni Berz. "Bring your business cards and come prepared to network."
The North Chattanooga Council meets the first Tuesday of each month. Its mission is to build on the successful engagement of its members, leaders and neighbors in the goal of continuing the growth of positive personal and professional relationships from the North Shore to the South Shore.
