Slow Down And Enjoy Christmas
posted November 29, 2008

Yesterday, I got off my job. I was exhausted. I sat down and turned on TV. The news came on of the Wal-Mart employee trampled to death by Christmas shoppers. I was so set back by it for I work in the retail side of life.

Where have we gotten to when we start injuring and killing people over shopping? For what? There is nothing out in the stores that is worth a human life. What is the "big hurry"?

When they came into my store, people were actually running and bumping into one another. Someone was about to get hurt. The folks were pushing and shoving to get in the doors.

The story about the Wal-Mart employee said that nobody actually helped the fallen Wal-Mart employee. The shoppers kept walking over them and going to shop. What kind of examples are we teaching the youth? It is OK to trample on folks and hurt them? Need to rename the generation the "Me generation".

When one goes to start their shopping for Christmas, just remember that we in the retail business are human. We have no control what our companies truck into us. We can only sell what we have gotten. Please be kind to your retail employee. Let's have the holidays a joyous time.

Merry Christmas and happy Holidays.
