Neighborhood Inspections Scheduled
posted December 2, 2008

Beverly P. Johnson, administrator, Department of Neighborhood Services and Community Development, announced systematic neighborhood inspections being conducted by the Code Enforcement division beginning Dec. 5.

The neighborhood to be inspected is Ridgedale, which is bordered by the following streets: S. Willow Street, McCallie Avenue, Dodds Avenue and Kirby Avenue.

Code Enforcement Inspectors will be going block by block in this neighborhood inspecting each parcel for City Code violations including litter, overgrowth, abandoned vehicles and housing code violations. Signs will be posted in the neighborhood in advance to advise residents that the Code Inspectors will be present.

Systematic inspections are performed on a routine basis in neighborhoods throughout the city to prevent the accumulation of violations and to maintain healthy and safe conditions for all residents. Properties found with violations will be issued a notice and given a period of compliance to correct the problem.

For more information, contact Brad Gardner, Manager of Codes, Community Service and Neighborhood Relations at 423 425-3739.
