Congressman Zach Wamp (R-Tenn.) is offering internship opportunities in his Chattanooga and Oak Ridge offices starting in January. Challenging full-time and part-time internships will provide many opportunities to learn how government works and how a Congressional office serves the public.
Interns will work in a fast-paced, results-oriented office environment and gain invaluable, career-building experience working with federal agencies, researching projects, writing reports and helping with general office duties. Interns work during the regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
In the past, Chattanooga and Oak Ridge interns have attended community events with Congressman Wamp, assisted in medal presentations to veterans and helped with logistics of the Tennessee Valley Technology Corridor Summit. Candidates who reside in or attend a college or university inside Tennessee's Third District and are part of an educational program are given more consideration.
