Crye-Leike’s Jean Smith has received the highest annual honor from the Women’s Council of Realtors – Chattanooga Chapter. She has been recognized as the 2008 Realtor Member of the Year.

Ms. Smith is a realtor in the company’s Signal Mountain branch office located in the Signal Mountain Plaza at 1210 Taft Highway.

“This is a great unexpected honor and I really appreciate the recognition from my fellow realtors,” said Ms. Smith.

The WCR is the 17th largest women’s organization in the U.S. and brings together Realtors from all walks of life. It’s a network of realtors that empowers women to exercise their potential as industry leaders, officials said. In 2005 Ms. Smith served as President of the WCR Chattanooga Chapter.

“More than the national ranking and networking, we are a group of accomplished women sharing ideas, training and dreams once a month,” said Ms. Smith. “When we get together we engage with terrific speakers, amazing food at local restaurants and have fun. It’s a great break from the day-to-day business and gives us a chance to share ideas with each other and our sponsors.”

Ms. Smith is a Graduate, Realtor Institute, member of the Chattanooga Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. With CAR she serves on the Governmental Affairs Committee. In 2005 Ms. Smith was awarded Tennessee GRI Realtor of the Year.

“The Women’s Council has cutting-edge training to help me and my colleagues build our businesses and secure our futures,” said Ms. Smith. “It is our connection to top professionals in real estate and I am honored and privileged to be including in this outstanding group.”

Ms. Smith’s career in real estate spans more than two decades. She is a licensed affiliate broker in Tennessee assisting buyers and sellers in and around Hamilton County and specializes in residential real estate sales. During her decade of service with Crye-Leike Ms. Smith has consistently been a Multi Million Dollar sales producer and is a charter member of the company’s Multi-Million Dollar Club in the Chattanooga region.

Crye-Leike recently inducted Ms. Smith into its prestigious Circle of Excellence. It is the company’s highest honor, recognizing sales associates for their service to the firm, community and profession. Ms. Smith is among just nine associates in the Greater Chattanooga Region who hold the honor and have been bestowed by Crye-Leike with the title of vice president.

Ms. Smith and her husband Charlie live on Signal Mountain. They are members of the Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church and there she serves on the Worship Shepherd Committee. Ms. Smith is also active as a board member with the Bachman Community Center.
