Chattanooga Karate Instructor Invited To Appear On Heroes Of Hope
posted December 11, 2008

The Heroes of Hope Public TV Documentary Program is launching a new series in 2009 surrounding Developmental Disabilities, according to Janette Morrison, producer. A Chattanooga karate instructor will be included.

The series will be highlighting a variety of professionals from many backgrounds that truly merit recognition for bringing healing and hope to sometimes helpless situations, Ms. Morrison said.

Corey Green, owner and head instructor at Green’s Karate in Chattanooga, has been invited to appear in a short-form segment for Heroes of Hope, hosted by TV personality Hugh Downs, Ms. Morrison said.

Mr. Green said, “I was asked to appear on the show which will be broadcast in April because of my work with disabled and autistic children.”

Mr. Green is currently raising funds for the program and said, “I am looking for one business, if possible, to be a sponsor for the program.” He is also open to various organizations or philanthropists to make single donations for the sponsorship. He said, “There are also four different levels of sponsorship and any person or persons who want to make anonymous donations are welcome to do so.”

All funds will go to the creation of the project and to support education for children with disabilities, Ms. Morrison said.

Mr. Green said, “The segment will call attention to the positive work being done for special needs children and would place Chattanooga “on the map” before a worldwide audience demonstrating that Chattanooga has wonderful opportunities to offer the world.”

The Heroes of Hope program will reach over 127 countries in 59 languages internationally, and also cover the U.S., Ms. Morrison said.
