Chattanooga’s Live Music Scene: BandX Is Coming!

Last week, I mentioned that I was taking a trip down to Atlanta to attend the Captain Planet Foundation’s party to Save The Planet. It was a fancy affair that brought out all of Atlanta’s big shots, but I went for the music. While Ted Turner and Chevy Chase were out front speaking to the crowd, we were in the back of the Tabernacle hanging with the musicians. My old friend, David Cole and his band, BandX, were playing at this event, and I had not seen them in a couple of years. David often gets some guests to play with his band and this event was no exception. Chuck Leavell from the Rolling Stones, Wally Palmar from the Romantics, Jeff Carlissi from .38 Special, and Jack Blades of Damn Yankees were on hand for this event, which was a real treat. Not bad company, eh? I will have interviews from these guest musicians coming soon.

BandX is a high-energy, ultra high quality party band that plays all over the country for some of the biggest parties, and they are coming back to Chattanooga on January 23 for the Pink gala event to benefit the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at Memorial Hospital. Now, I wouldn’t trade our great local bands for anything, but this band brings the entertainment to a whole new level. In fact, I would recommend this event to all area musicians, as BandX is just that good. The band’s website is at click here.

Folks, this is one party you don’t want to miss. This band will get your giddy-up going, and they are playing for a truly wonderful cause. A Pink! Gala ticket would make an excellent Christmas gift for your favorite music lover, too. They sell out this event, so you better get your tickets now. Call the Memorial Hospital System Foundation at 423-495-4151 for more information and tickets. Did I mention this was one event you do not want to miss? You will just have to trust me on this one.
