Today I note that gas prices are creeping back up, having gone from some $1.359 per gallon to about $1.559 per gallon just this week. Also this week news everywhere reported that oil price-per-barrel is continuing to drop.
To whom it may concern: please do not insult the intelligence of the American people by continuing to maintain that the oil companies do not manipulate the wholesale/retail price of gasoline.
The oil futures market may be affected by the news that OPEC is planning to reduce their daily output, but the price at the pump goes up based on this news? Please.
I agree with the earlier writer who suggested that the oil companies with their huge, record-breaking profits should "bail out" the American auto companies, who are directly responsible for their success. Let them feed the hand that bit them.
